Wimm Bill Dann continues share buyback
28.05.09 10:37
We are quite upbeat on Wimm Bill Dann’s efforts to buy back shares from the market, as it could lend support to the company’s stock valuations.
Wimm Bill Dann Foods (RTS: WBDF) has announced that its subsidiary company Wimm Bill Dann Finance has not stopped buying back company shares from the market, and, in addition to the 1.65% share package accumulated before late March, has brought WBD’s own stake in its charter capital up to 3.3%. To date, the company has bought back more than 1.45 million shares.
We believe that WBD’s efforts to buy back shares from the market could lend support to the company stock valuations. At the same time, given the recent statements made by the company’s BoD, we do not expect Wimm Bill Dann to proceed with the share buyback.
The fair value of Wimm Bill Dann Foods as of December 31, 2009 is USD 34.60 per share, a 33% upside to the current market valuation.
