Government approves cuts in energy company investment programs

On April 9, the Russian government met to consider altering the investment programs of state-run power utility companies. We have analyzed the materials published on the government website and in additional media reports. As a result, we now have a general outlook on future corrections to the investment programs and capacity commissioning volumes in key segments of the power-utility industry, and we have made several suggestions as to who will benefit most from the scheduled changes.
