Nov 22. Gazprombank is to allocate about $500 mln in its 2008 budget to take over regional banks in Russia and the CIS, deputy to the lender's board chairman Alexander Sobol told reporters Wednesday. He pointed out that these resources could be used if the bank receives favorable proposals. At present, Gazprombank, according to Sobol, is in talks with representatives from Ukrainian, Kazakh and Azerbaijani banks.
