June 23. Gazprom’s oil arm Gazpromneft has no plans to boost a recently purchased stake in Sibir Energy but mulls other acquisitions, including stakes in the largest Slovenian gas station chain Petrol, Gazpromneft CEO Alexander Dyukov said Monday. The top executive confirmed that Gazpromneft which several months ago started buying shares of a rival with smaller output currently owns a 34% stake in Sibir Energy. “For the time being, this is all. We are in talks with all shareholders over asset management”, Dyukov told journalists upon completion of Gazpromneft’s AGM. Industry sources earlier said that further down the road Gazpromneft could attempt to raise its holding in Sibir Energy at least to a controlling interest. The latter’s main assets include a stake in the Moscow refinery and a 50% stake in an exploration JV with Royal Dutch Shell in West Siberia Salym Petroleum Development.
