June 24. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko threatened to revise the list of oil suppliers and remove those that partially execute quotas of oil deliveries to the country, the Belarusian presidential press service reported. This year Belarusia expects to refine at two refineries 21.5 mn t of Russian crude oil that is supplied by Lukoil, Gazprom Neft, Transneft and TNK-BP. “Currently, for the purpose of generating higher profits some Russian concerns, oil suppliers, choose not to provide earlier agreed oil shipments to Belarusian oil refining facilities, waiting for more favorable conditions to be available on the market,” a press release said. The presidential press service does not disclose the companies that could be deprived of the status of oil suppliers. “We agreed that if a company fails to comply with oil delivery quotas, it should not do business on the Belarusian market. We need to deal with those concerns that fulfill their obligations on a monthly basis,” the press service quoted Lukashenko as saying at a meeting devoted to oil refining issues.
