July 2. Vladimir Lisin has consolidated management of his transportation assets (four ports and two river shipping companies). Universal Cargo Logistics Holding BV (UCLH), controlled by Lisin, reported Wednesday that on July 1, 2009 its subsidiary, limited liability the company Management of Transport Assets, obtained the status of sole executive body of the concerns owned by UCLH. They include the Sea Port of Saint Petersburg along with its business units (First Stevedoring Company, Second Stevedoring Company, Third Stevedoring Company and Fourth Stevedoring Company), Universal Reloading Complex in the port of Ust-Luga, the Tuapse Commercial Sea Port, the Taganrog Sea Port, North-West Shipping Company and Volga Shipping Company. The aggregate cargo turnover of the holding’s concerns equals 35 mn t a year. “Once approval is obtained from authorized state bodies, there are plans to wrap up the acquisition by UCLH Group of a controlling interest in Volgo-Balt Transport Holding Limited that controls North-West Shipping Company and Volga Shipping Company, and a number of other shipping and shipbuilding concerns,” the company said in a press release.
